Nick gave so many children a great foundation in life through his love of and inspiring ways of teaching. He was my first trumpet teacher back in 1987 at Haddenham Middle school and he got me to join the AMC Junior Brass band. That was my first step. Over the years he & Kathy taught, encouraged, pushed to get the best while ensuring all the while it remained fun. Fast forward to 1996 I joined a big band outside of AMC eventually taking it over and to this day Big Band Swing is still going strong with several AMC alumni playing as members of the band or depping.
A remarkable man, one who will be missed by so many.
Many thoughts with Kathy at this hard time. God bless you Nick and thank you.

I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who could liven up a room quite like Nick, be it a full-to-the-brim concert hall or just around the dinner table. I will always think fondly of his unmatched ability to get anybody to crack a smile, no matter the circumstances. His passion for music and his dedication to sharing this with his students, family, and friends was always exceptional. He will be sorely missed by everyone he touched.
