Not only was Nick a brilliant musician, but he inspired so many youngsters who, without his influence, might have had a much less fulfilling life. He wrote accessible music for children, knowing exactly how to engage their interest, and which they thoroughly enjoyed performing. He had a wonderfully quirky sense of humour, and was always ready for a friendly chat. He will be remembered with affection and admiration.
